2011

  • March: “Wireless Microphone Frequency Finder” iPhone app.
  • January: The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) conditionally appointed Spectrum Bridge a TV bands device database administrator.

2010

  • October: RCR Wireless 2010 Ecosystem Award - Best Specialty Deployment (for Hocking Valley Community Hospital White Spaces Solution)
  • September:  Alongside Google, Spectrum Bridge delivered the first TV White Spaces network trial enabling telemedicine applications to Hocking Valley Community Hospital in Logan, Ohio.
  • July:  In partnership with the Wireless Internet Service Provider Association (WISPA), Spectrum Bridge delivered the UNII Device Interference Advisor (UDIA) database solution enabling access to 5GHz spectrum previously unavailable due to interference issues.
  • June:  Launched the Nation's first "Smart Grid" White Spaces Trial Network in partnership with Google and Plumas-Sierra Rural Electric Cooperative demonstrating how TV White White Spaces can be used for Smart Grid technologies.
  • March:  Named Winner of Andrew Seybold 2010 Choice Award.
  • February:  Launched the first “Smart City” White Spaces Trial Network in partnership with TV Band Service, delivering safer, greener connectivity to Wilmington and New Hanover County, North Carolina.
  • February:  iPhone and Android “ShowMyWhiteSpaces” free apps.

2009

  • October:  Launched the first White Spaces Trial Network in partnership with Dell, Microsoft, and the TDF Foundation, bringing rural broadband connectivity to Claudville, Virginia.
  • June:  Utilities Telecom Council (UTC) Best New Telecom Service - 2009 Product Award Winner (for SpecEx.com).
  • May: The SpecEx Spectrum Index was launched, captures current value and trends in licensed communications spectrum to accelerate liquidity of secondary market transactions.
  • May:  Named to Fierce Wireless’ “Fierce 15” as one of “the most innovative and smart engineering companies in the wireless industry”.
  • February:  Developed and launched ShowMyWhiteSpace.com, a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) compliant TV White Spaces database, interactive map, and channel management tool illustrating all protected TV band users.
  • January: South Carolina to Leverage SpecEx to Promote Statewide 2.5GHz EBS Spectrum

2008

  • September:  SpecEx launched – the only online secondary market spectrum exchange. Today SpecEx is a revenue generating online platform for spectrum trading with $30 Million in transactions and $500 Million value, or over 3.0 Billion MHz-POPs in assets currently listed.

2007

  • February:  Spectrum Bridge was incorporated with a vision to make spectrum more available to the wireless market. From this vision a significant IP portfolio evolved with robust patent growth strategy along with a plan to bring innovative products to the market.
